Browsing New Hampshire Craigslist, and here it is... a literal Beige Camry, from 2010.

Wow, I mean, I guess of course they made some of these in manual, but it just... doesn’t occur to me. A beige-on-beige-with-beige accents Camry sporting 3 pedals. Neat?

While I don’t always agree with the hate that gets thrown at the Camry, this one is really illustrative of how boring a car can be. Just look at that interior. It has all the character of a strip mall in Anywhere, USA. Actually less because at least the sign on the Chotchkies has COLORS. The manual shifter just seems so out of place there.

Also worth noting, the paint color is listed as “Custom” - really? REALLY.

These have the worst clutch/shifter feel ever imo. And I’ve driven a couple of old farm trucks.

To be fair, farm trucks tend to have the shifter coming right up out of the transmission, so they can have oddly precise shifting.

The clutch on that generation Camry is surprisingly tight and stiff. I stalled a customer’s car driving it up the ramp into the shop.
